Today’s workshop was a full house. It was organised by a group of friends who wanted to get together and have fun while being creative.

We played around with texture paste, tissue paper, stencils and different mark making tools.

It was a nice way to relax and get the creative juices flowing.

Some realistic and more abstract pieces were created.

Trying to show the top pool flowing down into the bush below and pandanus reflections was a bit of challenge. Then they worked out beautifully with a touch of gold paint and by applying paint with squeezy bottles.

One lady represented hope and love with a mystical piece, while another depicted a collage done by her grandmother many years ago which included elements of text, bark and charcoal.

It was lovely working with these ladies who had such diverse styles and subject matter.
