We were so lucky to be in Madrid when the Reina Sofia held an exhibition ‘Pity and Terror’ Picasso’s Path to Guernica. It commemorated the eightieth anniversary of Guernica’s first showing. Photos were not allowed in the Picasso exhibit so this image of Guernica is from the Internet.

There were so many of Picasso’s works and a whole section showing Salvador Dali’s paintings and sketches. We spent over 4 hours wandering around each section. Bruce survived! Here are a few images of the other exhibitions in random order. Off to the Prado Museum tomorrow!

Spent 5 hours at the Museo Nacional del Prado. No photos allowed.

I picked up the Prado guide that I ordered online as the reviews said it had lots of photos. Didn’t realise how big it was and will now need to sneak it into Bruce’s bag as it is well over a kilo…

We better come back again and explore the rest of Madrid.
